The CALFAS Mission

is dedicated to two simple mission goals:

To prevent FASD, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders and Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, and eliminate it for the children of tomorrow and to intervene and provide assistance to those who are living with FASD today.

Prevention

Our primary prevention focus is to reach out to birth mothers by creating a network that will support mothers in recovery and assist them in accessing services.

Intervention

Our primary intervention focus is to network with all existing federal, state and local service agencies both public and private to coordinate and extend existing service delivery systems and more effectively meet the needs of individuals with FASD and their care providers. To achieve this end we are in the process of creating an FASD Task Force in all counties in California.
